The Youth Fighting our Climate Crisis through Innovation
Yendry Sandoval Arias shows us the importance of generational change and women’s participation in innovative programs that fight the impacts of climate change, support reforestation programs, and protect water resources.
Sandoval Arias, together with two other young women from the community of San Rafael de Guatuso, located in the Northern Coastal Zone, developed a simple tool that uses geospatial technology to record the planting site of each tree sown by the San Rafael de Guatuso Aqueduct Administrative Association (ASADA).
This innovative technology is now the basis for the monitoring system that we use at Huella del Futuro #Footprint4ourFuture .
